Cabinet

Cabinet is an enclosed or semi-enclosed rack used to house IT equipment. Cabinets can support security, airflow control, cabling, and colocation separation, but high-density deployments may require specialized cabinet and cooling designs.

Voltage

Voltage is electrical potential difference and is one of the key variables in power delivery. For large-load sites, voltage class strongly affects interconnection options, equipment cost, substation design, losses, and whether service is closer to distribution or transmission.

Interconnection

Interconnection is the physical and electrical connection of a facility to the grid or to another electric system. For data centers, the term can refer to utility service connection, transmission-level large-load process, on-site generation connection, or fiber/network interconnection depending on context.
